Getting Started

1. Find your studio

Search for your studio via the search or browse by city under Cities. If your studio isn't listed yet, add it via the «Suggest a gym» button in the top right.

2. Claim your studio

On your studio's detail page, click «Is this your gym?». You'll be asked to provide a business email address (ideally one that matches your studio website's domain).

3. Confirm your email

You'll receive a confirmation email within minutes. Click the link and you'll land directly in the Owner Dashboard. If you don't see the email, check your spam folder.

4. First login

After confirmation you can log in any time at gymalia.com/en/owner. Your studio is yours and all listed data is editable.

Manage your profile

What you can edit

  • Description (DE/EN) — a short paragraph introducing your studio in 2-3 sentences
  • Phone — shown with a click-to-call link
  • Website — direct link to your own site (only visible for claimed gyms)
  • Pricing — monthly, yearly, drop-in, signup fee
  • Contract terms — minimum duration + cancellation period
  • Tags — equipment (sauna, pool, 24/7 etc.) and offerings (yoga, CrossFit, ...)

Upload photos

You can upload studio photos in the Owner Dashboard. Limits per plan:

  • Free (Claimed): up to 5 photos
  • Premium: up to 25 photos
  • Pro: unlimited

Tips for a strong profile

  • Bright, vertical photos of the training area (no stock photos)
  • Complete pricing — studios with prices get ~3× more clicks
  • Description with city + main offering in the first sentence (SEO)
  • Set tags honestly — users filter by them and write disappointed reviews when something is missing

Manage reviews

Reply to reviews

The Owner Dashboard shows all reviews of your studio. Click «Reply» beneath a review to write a public response. The reply appears directly under the review and is visible to all visitors.

What to do about negative reviews

  • Reply factually — thank them for the feedback, address the specific point
  • Offer a solution — if relevant, invite the user to talk
  • Don't delete — we only remove reviews that violate our guidelines (insults, spam, false claims)

Report a review

If a review violates our guidelines, you can report it via the «Report» button. Our team manually reviews each report within 48 hours.

Actively ask for reviews

Ask satisfied regulars in person at the studio or via email. Studios with ≥10 reviews appear more prominently in search results.

Understand analytics

Which metrics you see

  • Profile views — how many users opened your detail page
  • Clicks — how often phone, website or custom CTA was clicked
  • Reviews — new reviews in the period + average score

Time window per plan

  • Premium: last 30 days
  • Pro: last 365 days + CSV export + weekly email report

Weekly report (Pro)

Pro customers get a weekly email report every Monday morning with the most important numbers from the last 7 days. No login needed.

CSV export (Pro)

In the Analytics section, Pro customers find an «Export CSV» button. It downloads a daily breakdown of the last 365 days as CSV — perfect for your own analysis or reports to management.

Plans & upgrade

Free (Claimed) — Free

Once you've claimed your studio, you can manage your profile, reply to reviews, upload up to 5 photos and display your website link prominently.

Premium — CHF 79/mo

For studios that want to grow. Additionally:

  • «Featured» badge in search results + search boost (higher position)
  • Analytics 30 days
  • Up to 25 photos
  • Email support < 48h

Pro — CHF 199/mo

For chains and ambitious studios. Additionally:

  • Multi-location management — all studios with one login
  • Custom CTA button (e.g. «Book a trial»)
  • Analytics 365 days + CSV export + weekly report
  • Stronger search boost (above Premium)
  • Priority support < 8h + phone

Pro pays off from 3 locations — cheaper than 3× Premium.

Upgrade

In the Owner Dashboard click «Upgrade to Premium» or «Upgrade to Pro». You'll be redirected to Stripe and can pay by credit card or Twint. The subscription is active immediately.

Manage / cancel subscription

Active subscribers find a «Manage subscription» link in the dashboard. It opens the Stripe customer portal where you can change payment method, view invoices or cancel. On cancellation the subscription stays active until the end of the paid period.

Multi-location (Pro)

Manage multiple studios

Pro customers can manage any number of studios with the same login. Each studio keeps its own reviews, photos, analytics and profile data — you switch between them via the dropdown in the dashboard.

Add another studio

  1. Search for your second studio
  2. Click «Is this your gym?»
  3. Confirm via email (same inbox is fine)
  4. The new studio appears automatically in your Owner Dashboard dropdown

Pricing note

Multi-location only works if your account is on Pro. The Pro license covers all your locations — you don't pay per studio.

Custom CTA (Pro)

Your own call-to-action button

Pro studios can display a prominent button on their detail page that takes users directly to a custom action — typically «Book a trial», «Schedule a tour» or «Start membership».

Set it up

  1. In the Owner Dashboard, scroll to Edit profile
  2. Enter the button text in the CTA Label field (max 40 characters)
  3. Enter the destination URL in the CTA URL field (e.g. your booking system)
  4. Save — the button appears immediately on your studio page

Best practices

  • Clear action: «Book a trial» beats «Learn more»
  • Destination URL must work — we don't auto-validate
  • Append tracking parameters (UTM) if you want to measure clicks in your own tool

FAQ

How fast is my claim activated?

Immediately after email confirmation. No manual review process needed.

Can I delete my profile?

You can reset your studio to «Basic» status at any time — owner data is removed but the studio stays listed with publicly scraped data. Complete removal only on request to contact@gymalia.com.

How fast does support respond?

  • Free: best-effort, usually within 5 working days
  • Premium: within 48 hours via email
  • Pro: within 8 hours via email or phone

Can I manage multiple studios?

With Pro: yes, unlimited with one login. With Free or Premium: one studio per account.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

If you cancel your Premium/Pro subscription, your studio falls back to «Claimed» status — your profile remains, but Premium features (Featured Badge, extended analytics, CSV export, custom CTA) are deactivated. Your data stays and you can re-upgrade any time.

Do you sell my data?

No. We don't sell data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How are reviews protected against fakes?

We use heuristics (email verification, IP throttling, language pattern analysis) to detect fake reviews. Suspicious reviews are manually reviewed. Owners can report suspicious reviews any time.
