The concept originated at the Technical University of Darmstadt, where co-founder Prof. Dr. Anna Lisa Martin-Niedecken studied sports science and completed her doctoral thesis on movement-based exergames. Her research provided the scientific basis for the development of SPHERY and THE SPHERE, offering an accessible, motivating, and highly effective training experience suitable for all fitness levels.
